The Home Clarity Session
Your home isn't working the way you'd like it to.
You've got ideas about what changes are needed, but you're not sure where to start, what's worth investing in or how to bring everything together.
In person in Wellington or virtually across New Zealand.
A home you love is closer than you think.
The Home Clarity Session
A focused session to help you see your home's potential, work out what needs to change, and decide what to do next.

Home Clarity Session
The biggest transformation often starts with seeing your home differently—not starting again.
A different way to approach your home.
Before you replace perfectly good furniture or furnishings or embark on an expensive renovation, it's worth taking a step back and looking at what you already have.
At Homes with Soul, I believe the most authentic and personal homes evolve from what’s there already.
By recognising what belongs, making the most of what works and identifying what changes will have the most impact on how you feel at home - a home you love is closer than you think.
Rather than starting again, we'll look at how to build on what you have to create a home that feels cohesive, personal and better suited to the way you live.
And just as importantly, we'll look at what doesn't need to change.
Home Clarity Session
A relaxed, collaborative working session to help you get unstuck, see new possibilities and feel confident about the direction you're heading.
$500.00 (60 minutes, allow up to 90 minutes)
Based in Wellington, I work locally and virtually across New Zealand.
What to expect
The Home Clarity Session is an opportunity to look at your home differently. With experienced design and home improvement advice, we'll explore what's working, uncover its potential and identify the changes that will make the greatest difference.
You might discover that you don't need to change nearly as much as you thought.
Before your session
There's no elaborate preparation required.
You don't need to tidy your home, prepare a design brief or have everything figured out before we meet.
You might have a long list of ideas, a few things that have been bothering you for years, or simply a feeling that your home could be better.
Wherever you're starting from, that's absolutely fine. I will meet you exactly where you’re at and we can figure out your best way forward - together.
Before your session
We'll explore your home together, looking at what's working well, what's frustrating you and what you'd like to achieve.
I'll ask questions, share observations and bring an experienced design and home improvement perspective to the conversation.
We'll explore your ideas, look at the potential in your existing furniture and furnishings, and consider opportunities to improve the way your home looks, feels and functions.
I'll challenge assumptions where necessary, help you consider alternative solutions and make recommendations based on what will work best for you, your home and your budget.
This isn't about me coming in and telling you what to do. It's about working together to explore possibilities and help you make decisions that feel right.
Depending on your home and priorities, we might explore:
Furniture placement and room layout.
Making better use of existing furniture and furnishings.
What to keep, change, relocate or replace.
Colour schemes and material choices.
Improving flow, function and cohesion.
Ideas for refreshing individual rooms.
Opportunities to achieve your desired result without unnecessary expense.
Where to focus your time, energy and investment.
Every home and every session is different. We'll focus on what matters most to you.
What you'll take away
By the end of your session, you'll have my top three recommendations for improvements that I believe will make the greatest difference to your home.
You'll have:
A clearer understanding of what's working and what could work better.
Fresh ideas and a new perspective on the potential in your home.
Greater confidence about what to keep, change or let go of.
Clarity about where to focus your time, energy and budget.
Three practical priorities to help you move forward.
Most importantly, you'll have a clearer sense of direction and feel more confident about the decisions you're making.
One conversation can change the way you see your home.
For good.
Why invest in a Home Clarity Session?
Because making better decisions about your home starts with understanding what you already have.
You're not simply getting another opinion or someone to walk around your home and suggest things to buy.
You're working with someone who brings professional design knowledge, practical home improvement experience and an independent perspective to help you see the bigger picture.
Know what to change — and what not to change.
Sometimes the best recommendation is to leave something exactly as it is.
By identifying what's already working, we can avoid unnecessary changes and the domino effect that can follow when one improvement leads to another.
Make better use of what you already own.
Your existing furniture and furnishings may have considerably more potential than you realise. Sometimes a different arrangement, a fresh perspective or a few carefully considered additions can make all the difference.
Invest where it matters.
Rather than spending money on changes that don't address the underlying problem, we'll identify where your investment is most likely to have a meaningful impact.
Make decisions with confidence.
I'll help you explore your ideas, question assumptions and consider alternatives, so you can move forward knowing that your decisions are considered, practical and right for you.
The aim isn't to spend less at all costs. It's to make sure you're spending wisely, on the things that will genuinely improve your home.

What you can expect
The Home Clarity Session is the first step in the Homes with Soul Method.
Once we've understood your home and what you want to achieve, you can choose what happens next.
You may have all the clarity you need to continue independently, or decide that a Home Clarity Plan is the right next step for you.
From there, you can access as much or as little support as you need as your home evolves.
You don't need to know what comes next. We'll work it out together.
The Home Clarity Session gives you clarity.
What you do with it is up to you.
Things You Might Be Wondering.
-
Not at all.
The Home Clarity Session is designed to give you clarity about your home and confidence in what to do next. If additional support would be valuable, I'll explain why and recommend the next step.
The decision is always yours.
-
Absolutely.
Many Homes with Soul experiences can be delivered virtually using photographs, video calls and guided walkthroughs.
I work with clients throughout New Zealand.
-
Absolutely.
In fact, it's one of the foundations of the Homes with Soul Method. Together, we'll identify what already works, build on the pieces you love and only recommend changes where they'll make the greatest difference.
-
You don't need to.
Most clients come to me because they know something doesn't feel right but can't quite put their finger on why.
Together, we'll uncover what you naturally respond to and create a clear direction for your home that feels like you.
“We now have a home full of warmth and personality, and we really enjoyed working with someone who has such a great instinct for colour and style!"
Pat Murfitt, Naenae
Ready to begin?
You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. You just need to be ready to explore possibilities.
